If you have provided all of your mothers probate documentation showing you are now the owner, you have a couple of options.  You first need to obtain the state production records to determine approx. how much your short and then determine if the dollars justify the cost of an attorney.  The second option is more of the same.  Be aware as a working interest owner you would be part of any litigation, if the operator is sued for issues with this well and secondly if he were to abandon the well you might be subject to your share of plugging costs.

Revenue or not it may be worth the legal cost to sell your interest to the operator and remove yourself from the situation.
