Leasing continues in Central Oklahoma, West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. The most common Oklahoma approaches are West of I-35 ranging from Stephens County, on the South to Kingfisher on the North. The bulk of Texas activity is a County or two West of Abilene, West of San Angelo, Pecos County on the South and Yoakum County on the North. New Mexico activity is mainly Lea and Eddy.
Based upon oil price increases, that seemed to bottom a couple of months ago and the more active lease approaches it appears we have turned the corner. Now it's a matter of oil stabilizing above $50 a barrel and world current production volumes continuing to decline. We are in a better wait and see situation than we were six months ago.
I recently got a nice lease in Reeves County, TX., SE of Pecos. Clayton Williams Company.
One Horizontal well just drilled and another permitted.
Thanks, Linn. Good information to know
& also encouraging.
Does anyone have any experience or know anything about KA Energy Partners which has an office in the Houston area? If so,
Due to Apaches Reeves County announcement leasing has picked up in the surrounding areas. I'm hearing rumors of much better lease offers.
