Foundations of Mineral Ownership (formerly known as Introduction to Mineral Management) is an engaging 3-hour course offered by the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) just prior to the start of the convention.
Whether you’re new to NARO, new to mineral ownership, or simply want to strengthen your understanding of the fundamentals, this course is the perfect place to start. Join us for an informative and interactive session designed to help you better understand your mineral and royalty interests, ask questions, and build confidence before the convention begins.

The Mineral Management Review Course is an engaging four-hour session designed to reinforce and expand the knowledge gained through the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) Mineral Management Program (MMP). The course fee is $100 and it is offered several times throughout the year, giving participants multiple opportunities to strengthen their understanding of key mineral management concepts.
While the course is optional within the MMP, many participants choose to attend because it provides an excellent opportunity to review essential topics, ask questions, and sharpen the skills needed to confidently manage mineral interests. Participants will receive four (4) Educational Credits (ECs) for attending.
NARO members who are not currently enrolled in the MMP are also welcome to attend as auditors. Those wishing to audit the course must pre-register and pay the $100 registration fee. Please note that auditing the course does not enroll you in the Mineral Management Program.
Attendance in this course is separate from any NARO Convention registration, and registration for one does not include the other.
To ensure an interactive and valuable experience, the course requires a minimum of six registered attendees. If the minimum enrollment is not met, all registrations will be fully refunded.
